Save the Date! NC NOW State Conference – 10/11/14

SAVE THE DATE – Saturday, OCTOBER 11 – NC NOW Annual Conference

Please join us at our 2014 NC NOW state conference.  Our theme is “Demand Justice for Women NOW”.   Members and other feminists will enjoy an opportunity to connect with other chapter members across the state. The day will include presentations on the ERA and Immigration. The panel will discuss issues surrounding legislative developments impacting Health Care, Seniors, Economic Security and Education.  We will focus on changes for women in NC over the past few years, and how to fight back.

Our keynote speaker is Rep. Pricey Harrison, of Greensboro.  Rep. Harrison has shown deep commitment to women and families and the right to choose, and she has long experience in the NC General Assembly.  She has her own history as a lawyer and as an activist.  Can’t wait to hear what she has to say!

The conference will convene at the Chapel Hill Friends Meeting Building at 531 Raleigh Road in Chapel Hill, NC.  Durham NOW is hosting the 2014 conference.

People interested in joining a NOW Chapter or learning about NOW are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided at registration. Enjoy lunch with our inspiring keynote speaker. Stay with us and join our ACTION immediately following the conference!
