Legislative alert: Special Session of NC Legislature called to discriminate

The NC Legislature has called a special session beginning Wednesday, March 23, 2016, to void Charlotte’s LGBT ordinance that allows transgender people to use the restroom consistent with their sexual identity.
.
Contact your legislators to let them know that you OPPOSE that bill.
Note: Find your legislators at NC’s Who Represents Me?  Or use NC Justice Center’s action alert
.
The most general argument against the bill (appropriate for legislators who do and those who do not support LGBTQ rights) is that the legislature should not over-rule local governments on this matter.  If you know that your legislator(s) is supportive of LGBTQ rights, you may also use LGBTQ rights arguments to support your position.
.
Act quickly, because time will be short.  Please spread the word.
.
Thank you for your activism.
