Charlotte NOW and Health Care Challenges on 11/1/17
The Nov. 1 Charlotte NOW Meeting features Dr. Jessica Schorr Saxe as guest speaker.
Dr. Saxe worked as a family physician for the underserved for Carolinas HealthCare System for 34 years before retiring in 2015. In practice, she saw people who had not gotten the care they needed due to financial issues. That experience strengthened her conviction that health care should be a human right. She chairs Health Care Justice—NC, a chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program and serves on the national board. In 2016 she won the PNHP Quentin Young Health Activist Award in Washington, DC at their annual meeting.
