We are excited to announce that the NC NOW State Conference has received more than 25 submissions for the silent auction and will probably get a few more. Here are some examples, and some directions for you if you are bringing an item for the auction on Saturday.
We have 3 beautiful, hand-made necklaces (2 of which have matching earrings and 1 has a pouch); a large framed photo of an apple tree flower; 3 hand-blown glass candles with wicks; a ceramic bowl; a pitcher; six gift baskets (snacks, bath and body, Crown); 14 vintage Ms. Magazines; framed print of flowers and butterfly; a WWII memoir; skincare products; 2 rings (size 7); a vintage Italian vase; 3 pairs of unique socks, and 5 Christmas books (including one by John Grisham).
We also have the following new additions: tablecloth, scarf, ceramics, flower art, picture frames, a basket, and a Lyndon Johnson painting.
If you are bringing an item on Saturday, please bring it to us at the Silent Auction table in the morning with the application form completed (NC NOW Silent Auction Application 2019). Durham NOW will make a bidding sheet for your item at that time.
Thanks to all of you who have contributed items thus far and to those of you who are bringing items with you. Durham NOW will be set up in the conference room by 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Bidding will begin then and will end at about 2 p.m. We will announce the winners of the items at 3:45 p.m. and will begin distributing items as soon as the conference ends. We will be able to accept cash and checks. You do not have to be present to win.
Thanks to Durham NOW for running and coordinating the silent auction.
