Peaceful Protest for Justice for Vanessa Guillen on 7/25/20
Hosted by a Grassroots Coalition of NC Women & NC NOW
RALEIGH, NC, July 24, 2020 – America tragically lost one of its own protectors, Specialist Vanessa Guillén, a 20-year-old Soldier from Houston, Texas, who was brutally murdered on Fort Hood Army Base while she worked. Her death has ignited the #IAmVanessaGuillen movement, and thousands of young women and service members have come forward with their stories of military sexual harassment and assault that have gone uncorrected. Thousands of North Carolinian women, Latino/as, and military service-members have taken to social media and the streets, demanding Justice for Vanessa Guillén and her family.
Please join us to learn why the time for justice is NOW, what you should know, and what we can do.
