CH NOW: Peaceful March in RBG’s Honor in Chapel Hill – 9/23/20

Chapel Hill NOW members took part in a peaceful march in Chapel Hill to honor the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg at noon on Wednesday, September 23.  The event was arranged by Rosemary Waldorf, a former mayor of Chapel Hill. This gave participants an opportunity to demonstrate their respect for Justice Ginsburg’s lifelong commitment to justice, their sorrow at her passing, and their dedication to the principles she defended so tirelessly.

Participants took a peaceful memorial walk from Carrboro to Peace and Justice Plaza, in front of Chapel Hill’s Old Post Office. They began around Graham Street, near the Carrboro town limits. Others could join in at any point along the way.
