  • Saturday December 7,  11:00 am, Lafayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey Street.  Wreath Laying on the Grave of Beryl Mitchell – victim of Domestic Violence (DV).  To raise awareness of DV.  We’ll go to lunch afterwards.  Contact Roberta at rwaddle@nc.rr.com.

Upcoming Events in Raleigh – mid January thru February 2019

Here are some upcoming events in Raleigh – mid January through end of February. Join us at one or all! There are 3 big march events scheduled in this one month period – MLK March, Raleigh Women’s March and Rally and the HKonJ March and Rally. Plus an important advocacy day on a topic which would be a win/win/win for all of North Carolina – Medicaid Expansion.

1. The MLK March is on Monday, Jan 21, in downtown Raleigh. Meet on the Edenton St. side of the NC Capitol in Raleigh, at 10:40am. March step-off is at 11am. There are events all that weekend, including a breakfast before the march. Join us and carry signs or banner or just join us! Going to lunch afterwards as the group does every year.

Volunteer opportunities – October 2018

Upcoming Opportunities to help in Raleigh in October 2018:
Oct 2 at Cameron Village Library, Raleigh NOW meeting, 7:15pm
Oct 4 at Halifax Mall – set up, clean up, or run the NC NOW table
Oct 8 at Mahler Art Gallery – bring food, help it stay stocked up, setup and cleanup
Oct 17 at NC NOW Office – putting conference packets together
Oct 19 at screening of Seeing Allred in Raleigh, set up, clean up
Oct 20 at state conference – room and food set up and cleanup
