Proposed changes to the NC NOW Bylaws for the 2019 NC NOW State Conference on 11/9/19.
In general, change all references from NOW regions to NOW districts. National NOW went to districts in 2015. There are 11 references to regions.
Also, expand date range for NC NOW state conferences to be held, from Oct. 15 to Nov. 15. There is no need to hold them before October 15 if the NC NOW PAC has no endorsements in the fall election.

Article IV. MEETINGS OF MEMBERS
Old: Section 1. STATE CONFERENCE. State conferences shall be held annually between Labor Day and October 15, except in years when the Regional Conference is held in North Carolina, when the State Conference can be held in conjunction with the Regional Conference. The purpose of the State Conference shall be to elect officers, establish policy, adopt program priorities, elect at-large delegates to the National Conference, and transact such other business as may come before the members. Not less than thirty (30) days prior notice shall be mailed individually to all members of the organization.
New: Section 1. STATE CONFERENCE. State conferences shall be held annually between Labor Day and October 15 during years with election in which NC NOW PAC endorses. The state conference shall be held between Labor Day and November 15 during years without elections in which NC NOW PAC endorses. If the District Conference is held in North Carolina, then the State Conference can be held in conjunction with the District Conference. The purpose of the State Conference shall be to elect officers, establish policy, adopt program priorities, and transact such other business as may come before the members. Not less than thirty (30) days prior notice shall be mailed individually to all members of the organization. Some related information or signups may be available online.
