False videos against PP inspire violence around the country – take action

Since July of 2015, there have been FIVE violent attacks and arson attacks at Planned Parenthood clinics. Sounds organized, doesn’t it? Naral Pro-Choice America wants these attacks on abortion clinics investigated as DOMESTIC TERRORISM.

According to the Slate.com article on the attacks, here are 4 instances with links to stories about the attacks

• “in July, employees at a clinic in the Chicago suburb of Aurora, Illinois, reported an attempted arson.”
• “in August, firefighters found half a burning car at the construction site of a future clinic in New Orleans.”
• “on Sept. 4, a clinic in Pullman, Washington, was set ablaze at 3:30 a.m.”
• “on Sept. 30, someone broke a window at a Thousand Oaks, California, clinic and threw a makeshift bomb inside.”

But did you even hear about these?  Where is the coverage from the mainstream media?  Why isn’t the Department of Justice involved yet?

Now, women’s health advocates are demanding more coverage of the attacks from the mainstream media and a full investigation from the Department of Justice.  Action 1: follow that link to sign Naral’s petition to the DOJ.

Over 200,000 people have called on the Department of Justice to open a domestic terrorism investigation to prevent future attacks–but Attorney General Loretta Lynch has yet to act.

Meanwhile, a basic truth is misunderstood by too many.  As NOW President Terry O’Neill wrote in “Why the Attacks on Planned Parenthood Keep Failing,”

Losing “Planned Parenthood would deprive millions of women of family planning services, including contraception, that they cannot access anywhere else. That means millions more unintended pregnancies. Which lead to higher rates of maternal and infant mortality. Which also lead to significantly higher risks of domestic violence homicide. “

That is another message that needs to be understood and communicated.
